Operated by Zareh Thomajan, the men’s clothing store is located at 1 Liberty Square. Catering to the business community, it becomes known for its witty, single-column newspaper ads and high-quality, custom-tailored, English suits. Gregory Thomajan, who takes over operation of the shop from his father in 1960, once explains, “This is a store where men buy clothes they work in – and these men hate to shop.” He continues to work there after the store is purchased by Giblees in 2018.
