Woodhouse (Enoch “Woody”) is born in Boston.

January 14, 1927

The son of a minister and his wife, “Woody” Woodhouse grows up on Mission Hill, graduates from English High School, enlists in the Army at 17, and, because of his age, is assigned a non-combat role as paymaster for the 332nd Fighter Group, better known as the Tuskegee Airmen. After the war, he graduates from Yale University and Boston University School of Law, becomes a trial lawyer, works for the U.S. State Department and assistant corporation counsel for the city of Boston. He continues to serve in the Air Force Reserves, retiring as a Brig. General in 1997.
