WNAC begins broadcasting synagogue services.

The first synagogue services broadcast in Boston, they originate from Temple Israel. Led by by Rabbi Harry Levi, they prove popular with the elderly, “shut-ins,” and others unable to travel. Levi’s sermons prove so popular that he subsequently publishes two collections of them.
