William Curtis arrives in Boston.

Curtis arrives on board the Lyon with his wife, Sarah, their children, and his sister, Sarah, who is engaged to John Eliot. After Sarah Curtis dies, William Curtis subsequently marries John Eliot’s sister. The family become the first European residents of today’s Jamaca Plain in 1638.*
