Mothers for Adequate Welfare holds an overnight sit-in at the office at 515 Blue Hill Avenue to protest conditions at that office specifically and welfare policies in general. It is the group’s second such demonstration there in a week. When police attempt to remove the demonstrators, a riot breaks out the next day.*
