Verdict, The.

Directed by Sidney Lumet and based on novel by local lawyer Barry Reed about the Edabeth Katz malpractice case, the legal drama stars Paul Newman playing a character based on Boston lawyer J. Newton Esdaile and Jack Warden playing a character based on Boston lawyer Joseph Mulligan. Scenes are shot in Beacon Hill, Downtown, and South Boston.
