Upham Store opens.

(ca.) Operated by Amos Upham, the general store is located in what comes to be called Upham Corner at 578 – 588 Columbia Road. The store subsequently moves into a new, Federal style, one-story building on the same site. That building is replaced by a new building (second) in 1884.*
