U.S. Post Office is rebuilt.

The building is renovated and expanded to a full block and features two statues of Daniel Chester French, mounted on platforms 100-feet up on its façade. The building is demolished in 1929 and replaced in 1933.* The statues are relocated to Franklin Park.
