Twelfth Congregational Church is dedicated.

Architect: Alexander Parris. Also known as the Chambers Street Church, it is located at today’s 68 Cardinal O’Connell Way (then Chambers Street). The congregation was established in 1823. Samuel Barrett is the first minister. The congregation is dissolved in 1863, and building is purchased by the Catholic archdiocese and becomes St. Joseph’s Church in 1862.*
