Turnkey housing plan is proposed.

Announced by Mayor Kevin White, the plan calls for building 2,294 public housing units for the elderly in three years. It intends to accomplish this goal by speeding up construction and keeping costs down through the use of pre-selected private developers to build the housing, which is then to be turned over to the Boston Housing Authority.
