Tufts Building is built.
1897
Architect: Rand & Taylor, Kendall & Stevens. Designed in the Classical Revival style, it is located at 278 – 290 Congress Street. The building is occupied by the manufacturer of soda fountain equipment and becomes part of the Russia Wharf complex in 2011. Renovated by Höweler + Yoon Architecture, it becomes home to the Boston Society of Architects in 2012.
