Originally El Platanero or “The Banana Man,” it is operated by Cuban immigrant Pastor Medina at 2101 Washington Street. Today operated by Medina’s grandsons and Randy Garry, the market moves to a new building nearby on Melnea Cass Boulevard in 2015.*
