The Red Sox beat the White Sox 4-1 at Fenway Park, as Tony Conigliaro hits a home run on the first pitch in his first at-bat at Fenway Park. Some ten years earlier, Conigliaro had hit a home run in his first at bat in the Orient Heights Little League.
