Thompson (Timothy) House is built.
1794
[1805-Southworth] Designed in the Georgian style, it is located at 9 Thompson Street. Subsequent occupants include Rev. Jedidiah Morse and Samuel F.B. Morse. The house is owned in the 1890s by Timothy Thompson Sawyer, a banker, historian, and mayor of Charlestown, and a descendant of the first owner. It is renovated in 1973.
