Thirteen candidates are elected to the Boston City Council.

Elected at-large are incumbents Michelle Wu (64,978), Ayanna Pressley (57,479), Michael Flaherty (51,621), and Annissa Essaibi George (45,524). Incumbents Frank Baker, Andrea Campbell, Mark Ciommo, Timothy McCarthy, Matt O’Malley, and Josh Zakim are elected to district seats. Newcomers elected to district seats are Lydia Edwards, Edward Flynn, and Kim Janey. It is the most diverse city council in Boston history, with six women and six persons of color.
