Third Methodist Episcopal Church is dedicated.

Formerly occupied by a Presbyterian congregation, the building is located on Church Street. Abel Stevens is the first minister. The building is renovated in 1843. It is replaced by the People’s Church at the corner of Columbus Avenue and Berkeley Street ca. 1883.
