Tent City Community Development Corporation is designated developer of the site near Copley Square.

The group is chosen by the Boston Redevelopment Authority to build 270 units of low, moderate, and market rate housing above an underground 698-car garage, as well as 6,500 square feet of commercial space. The BRA asks the Boston City Council to approve a $10 million UDAG application for the CDC on November 20, 1985, and approves final designation of the group on December 19, 1985.
