The group is chosen by the Boston Redevelopment Authority to build 270 units of low, moderate, and market rate housing above an underground 698-car garage, as well as 6,500 square feet of commercial space. The BRA asks the Boston City Council to approve a $10 million UDAG application for the CDC on November 20, 1985, and approves final designation of the group on December 19, 1985.
