Tai Tung Village A is built.

[1970, 1974] The first in a four-building affordable housing development, it is located at 232 Harrison Avenue. Part of the South Cove Urban Renewal Plan, it was built after a struggle by residents against urban renewal and for community control. The building is purchased by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association in 1994.
