Suffolk County Court House (fifth) is built.

Architect: George Clough. Originally the Suffolk County Court House (fifth) and later known as the Old Suffolk Court House, it is designed in the French Second Empire style and located at 1 Pemberton Square. A two-story mansard roof is added in 1910. A new court house (sixth) is built next to it in 1939.* The original building is renamed the John Adams Court House in 2002, renovated by CBT Architects, and reopens in 2005.
