The Sunday night sports show is hosted by real estate broker Eddie Andelman, subsequently called by Dan Shaughnessy “The man who invented sports talk radio in Boston,” along with insurance executive Jim McCarthy, and lawyer Mark Witk. The three were overheard talking sports by a WUNR station manager at Patten’s Restaurant at 41 Court Street. The Sunday night show is picked up by WBZ-Am six months later, subsequently moves to WEEI and WHDH, and continues for 30 years.
