Supreme Court finds the Fourteenth Amendment forbids courts from enforcing racial covenants prohibiting real estate sales to African-Americans or members of other groups. to be legally unenforceable. Private parties continued to be allowed to enter into such agreements, however, and remain common in suburban real estate practices until they are outlawed in 1968.*
