Sgt. Richard Halloran is killed in the line of duty.

Halloran is shot and killed while investigating a suspicious parked car at 464 Bremen Street. A suspect is apprehended within hours and later convicted of his murder. A plaque is dedicated on the site to Halloran’s memory on November 6, 2009.
