Rollins (Ann Sigourney) House is built.
1864
(ca.) [1850-MLS] One of nine contiguous houses built as rental properties by shipping merchant and real estate investor John Lowell Gardner, it is located at 81 Marlborough Street. Its first occupant is the widow of William Rollins. Subsequent occupants include Richard Henry Dana Jr. and his wife from 1870 to 1872. The building is converted to a lodging house by 1938, into apartments in 1979, and into condominiums in 1980.
