Robert Morris is admitted to the Suffolk County bar.

The second African-American to pass the Massachusetts bar examination, he had served as a law clerk for Ellis Gray Loring. Morris maintains an office at 221 Washington Street [Brazer Building on State Street-Kendrick]. He subsequently converts to Catholicism, and many of his clients are Irish-Americans.
