Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus first performs at Boston Garden.

The best-known circus in the U.S., it is purchased by Field Entertainment in 1967, by Mattel in 1971, and re-purchased by Field in 1982. The circus holds its last performance in Boston at the TD Garden in the spring of 2017 and its last performance ever at the Nassau County Coliseum on May 21, 2017.
