Prince Pasta Company is established.

1912

Founded by Sicilian immigrants Michele Cantella, Gaetano LaMarca, and Giuseppe Seminara, it is located initially at 92 Prince Street [Fleet St.-Todisco].) The company moves to a new building on Commercial Street in 1917,* then to Lowell in 1939. After being purchased by another Sicilian immigrant, Giuseppe Pellegrino, the company builds a national brand, partly by introducing a popular Boston-based television advertisement in 1969.* The company is purchased by Borden, Inc. in 1987, and is subsequently by New World Pasta.
