Pinebank (first) is built.

1802

Designed in the Federal style and built as a summer house for China Trade merchant James Perkins, it is located on the shore of Jamaica Pond. The house burns down in 1848 and is replaced by a new building (second) in 1850.* After another fire in 1868, it is replaced by a new building (third) in 1870.*
