Opponents of the South End urban renewal plan meet.

Some 200 residents attend the meeting, sponsored by the Community Assembly for a United South End, at the John J. Williams Municipal Building. After a series of additional meetings, some 700 residents turn out for a meeting of the Union United Methodist Church where a majority support a proposal for an elected South End Urban Renewal committee on December 15, 1967.
