Newman (Thomas) House is built.

(ca.) It is located on the corner of Salem Street and Sheafe Street. Built by Jonathan Dwight, the house is purchased by Thomas Newman, the father of the sexton at the Old North Church, in 1741. The building is demolished in approximately 1880.
