Myrick (Hannah Glidden) is born in Boston.

August 31, 1871

The daughter of James and Mary (Converse) Myrick, Hannah Glidden Myrick grows up at 58 Summer Street, is one of the few girls allowed to attend Boston Latin School, and graduates from Smith College and Johns Hopkins Medical School. She becomes superintendent of the New England Hospital for Women and Children, maintains a private practice in Upham’s Corner, and pioneers the use of X-rays and industrial medicine. Myrick lives in her family home until it is taken by eminent domain by the city, moves to 50 Commonwealth Avenue, dies in Wellesley in 1973, and is buried at Forest Hills Cemetery
