Mugar (David) is born in Boston.

The son of Stephen and Marian (Graves) Mugar, David Mugar grows up in Belmont, attends Babson College, and joins the family’s Star Market supermarket business and real estate development company. He begins producing the annual Boston Pops Fourth of July concert in 1973 and continues until 2016.
