Morris Stern dies in New York

September 29, 1918

Born in Russia to Morris Stern was the son of Louis and Bella Stern. His family emigrates to the US. and lives at 115 Leverett Street, and later 2 Auburn Street. A graduate of Harvard College a nd Harvard Law School, Stern enters the U.S. Navy in 1917 and served as a Chief Storekeeper at Training Camp Pelham, NY, and he dies of pneumonia there. The City of Boston subsequently approves ae Hero Square for Stern at the corner of Chambers Street and Green Street. After the West End urban renewal project, it isĀ  re-erected at the corner of Amy Court and Martha Road.
