Morning Star Baptist Church is built.

(Nov.) It is located at 1257 Blue Hill Avenue. The congregation met initially in the home of its first minister, James Meadows. It soon moves to 19 Stratton Street, to 76 Glenway Street in 1967, to a former Jewish synagogue at 133 Harrishof Street in Roxbury in 1968, then to 1257 Blue Hill Avenue in 1976, and subsequently built this new church on the the site. John M. Borders III becomes pastor in 1981.
