Miller (Harry) Company is established.

It is located initially on Boston’s waterfront. The company begins by recycling damaged canvas from ships in the harbor. It subsequently turns to manufacturing specialty items like elevator pads, windsocks and tarpaulins and later moves to Roxbury, where it continues to do business today.
