MBTA orders slowdowns across the entire mass transit system.

A 10-25 miles per hour speed limit is set for the Blue, Green, Orange, Red, and the Mattapan High Speed [sic] Lines due to safety concerns caused by maintenance issues and a shortage of dispatchers. The latest in a series of mishaps prompts State Representative Michael Connolly (D-Cambridge) to declare, “We have been living in a state of emergency on the MBTA for years now, and it just seems like it continues to get worse and worse.”
