Massachusetts College of Art and Design (second) is built.

[1879] Architect: H.H. Richardson. Originally the Massachusetts Normal Art School, then Massachusetts College of Art, It is located on the corner of Newbury Street and Exeter Street near today’s 200 Newbury Street. The building is demolished in 1969.
