Masonic Temple (first) is dedicated.

May 30, 1832

Architect: Isaiah Rogers. Designed in the Gothic Revival style with two tall towers, it is located at 140 Tremont Street. The organization moves to former Winthrop House (second) in 1859, and to a new building there (third) in 1867,* and then the current building (fourth) on the same site in 1899.* The original building is converted to the Federal Court House in 1859 [1857], then the R.H. Stearns department store. It is demolished and replaced by a new building in 1909.*
