Louis Brown, 15, is shot and killed.

December 21, 1993

An honor student at West Roxbury High School, he is struck by a stray bullet while walking to the Fields Corner MBTA Station. Afterwards his father, Joseph Chéry, who later starts an anti-violence program in his son’s name, declares, “All kids are beautiful and none of them deserves to die. The only exception is that I knew my son. And he was a good kid.”
