Little (Arthur D.) Company is established.

Founded by the company’s namesake, it is located initially on Milk Street. Considered the first industrial consulting firm in the U.S., it subsequently moves to Cambridge, and is credited with helping to spark the high technology industry in and around Boston. The company closes in 2002.
