Lion and Unicorn are installed.

1713

The statues are located initially on top of the brick corners of the Old State House. Burned with other symbols of royal authority in a bonfire after the first reading of the Declaration of Independence in Boston form the building balcony on July 18, 1776, the figures were replaced by the Bostonian Society in 1901 with wooden recreations. When they are restored more than 100 years later, a time capsule is found inside the lion statue in 2014.*
