Last residents are evicted from the West End.

June 30, 1960

(June) Margaret Kearney Blood and her two daughters are removed from their apartment at 379 Charles Street. City officials had to be called in to remove the hinges from the front door in order to evict the family, after their lawyer, future Massachusetts governor Endicott Peabody, had negotiated a month’s extension of their occupancy.
