Joslin (Eliot P.) House is built.

Designed in the Classical Revival style, it is located at 81 Bay State Road. The building serves as both home and office for the first doctor in the U.S. to specialize in the treatment of diabetes. It becomes the Joslin Diabetes Clinic (first) in the 1920s. The facility moves to Joslin Road (second) in 1956* and to its current location (third) on Joslin Place in 1976.*
