Jordan’s Big Bike Giveaway is held.

The local furniture store company presents 1,000 bicycles, helmets, and locks to young people who are members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston in an event held in the parking lot of the former Bayside Expo Mall. Jordan’s co-founder Eliot Tatelman also promises to return in the fall and present each youth with $100 – provided they promise to give it away so they can learn that giving is more satisfying than receiving.
