Jonny Miller begins work as a sports reporter at WBZ.

(ca.) Born with cerebral palsy, the Newton native and Boston University graduate begins a career that finds him covering the Boston Red Sox as well as the Boston Celtics. As the years pass, he gets to ask the first question at post-game press conferences, prompting Dan Shaughnessy to write, “He is Helen Thomas with a white polo instead of a red dress.” Known for asking tough questions, he displays his sense of humor after one game in 2011.*  He retires in 2024.
