Jonny Miller asks Red Sox manager Terry Francona an unusual post-game question.

May 20, 2011

After the Red Sox beat the Cubs 15-5 at Fenway Park, Miller, alluding to a doomsday prediction by a religious group, asks the manager, “Terry, if the end of the world comes tomorrow, how good is it to exit with a victory tonight?” After laughter in the room subsides, Francona answers, “I’ve got to tell you, Jon, if it ends tomorrow, I’m not gonna be that happy. I mean, I’m glad we won, but I would prefer it not to end.”
