Ig Nobel Prize Awards are established in Cambridge.

Founded by Marc Abrahams, they annual prizes are given out before packed audiences at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre. According to Abrahams, the prizes in 10 categories are awarded to scientists around the world who engage in projects that make people laugh – and think. Presenters include actual Nobel Prize winners.
