Hull is founded.

Originally Nantasket (“the place between the tides”), it is initially a fishing village settled by members of the Plymouth Colony, then by members of the Dorchester Company fishing camp and by passengers on the Mary and John in 1630.* The town adopts its current name and is incorporated in 1644.
