Howie Carr joins the Boston Herald.

Initially a reporter, Carr subsequently becomes a columnist and talk show host, known for his acerbic wit and criticism of local politicians and public employees. An example of both is contained in an article writes for Boston magazine that begins, “Q: Why don’t state workers look out the window in the morning? A: Because they want to have something to do in the afternoon.”
