Harold Vaughn runs unsuccessfully for Massachusetts lieutenant governor.

A Roxbury resident and a graduate of Boston University and Suffolk Law School, Vaughn had served as an aide to Sen. John F. Kennedy and worked in the Hynes, Collins, and White administrations in City Hall. He becomes the first African-American candidate for lieutenant governor.
