Harcourt Bindery is established.

Originally Huegle, Quinby and Company, it is located initially at 15 – 17 Harcourt Street. The company is purchased by Gilmore Clapp and Oakes and William Ames in 1911, by Walter Johnson and Fred Young in 1931, and by Samuel and Emily Ellenport in 1971. It moves to 51 Melcher Street in South Boston in 1986 and is today located at 89 Cambridge Street in Charlestown.
